FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Houston, Texas, Saturday, April 30th, 2011 from 3-9 pm Inner Art Corridor’s annual open studio tour is a one-day only event. Art studio doors will be open at ten locations with over 100 artists participating. Boasting the best art scene in the city the public is invited free of charge to sample the art in the “Lower Washington Cultural Arts District”.

The artist colony is greater in numbers than previously counted. The new addition to the art family is the sister warehouse to Winter Street Studios, Spring Street Studios. It is perfectly located in the heart of the First Ward on Spring Street. According to Jeanette Chinelli, founder and organizer of the Inner Art Corridor, “our part of town has artist studios galore, fun places to eat and drink from funky to chic and all within five minutes from each other. Visit private live workspaces to get the “inside look” and don’t forget your checkbook. Painting, sculpture, jewelry, you name it we have it. The talent found here is a visual feast for all to embrace”.

There is ample parking at all locations and a printed map is provided for visitors to locate all the participants on the tour. From warehouse studios to private home studios this event provides an inside look with original art available for purchase. This ONE-DAY only event is nestled in the famous Washington Avenue Corridor. A jitney service to shuttle visitors to each location will be available from “TheWave”.
